Namaskaram to All,
Following is what is instore for us tomorrow (Tuesday
13th May) evening in Perumal kovil. Before I start would like to touch upon couple of Thiruabharnam of our Lord. Many of you might noticed / know these earlier; this is for the few who might not have noticed for the rest it is like another serving of prasadam during this wonderful Brahmotsavam.
All Perumals of Thondai nattu divya desam would have a beautiful bracelet on their right hand. Our Varadar is no exception, if you notice the right hand you would find a beautiful bracelet with a pendent. Our Devathirajan is superlative in all aspects, even moolavar wears a bracelet. During purappadu this bracelet would swing in both directions as if enjoying the chants of varada. The other thiruabarnam is the kadukkan (ear ring), this is trademark for our Perarulalan. The size and beauty of this single diamond is truly unique. You could identify our Varadar by this thiruabarnam from far.
Varadar in Bhagavad gita says "jyotisham ravi amshuman" – "Of radiant lights, I am Sun" and during the purappadu our Varadar riding in the center of the sun reminds you of this.
Suryan (astrologically) is the giver of health, study, wealth, children and when Devathirajan regally rides on Soorya prabhai, you can be assured that you would all the above and lot more.
In this purappadu also our Perarulalan would be alone.
The Divya prabhantha goshti would recite Periazhwar's irandaam pathu. The following pasuram seems so apt to the purappadu.
aravaNaiyaay! aayarERE!* ammam uNNath thuyilezhaayE*
iravum uNNaathu uRaNGgi n^eepOy* inRumuchchi koNdathaalO*
